I actually don't think I've said anything about Gidget's death here yet...
I never knew Gidget Gein, but he's been one of the most influential figures in my life. I becam a fan of Gidget's music a long time ago and his art as soon as I saw it.
I had a copy of Gidget's post Manson stuff before I was even listening to Manson.
It was Gidget's love of Flaming Carrot that got me into comics, it was Gidget's weird tastes that opened my mind to the world around me.
Gidget's crossdreasing that made me willing to explore my sexuality.
If it weren't for Gidget, I wouldn't know who the Residents are.
Then finally a couple years ago when I read about one of gidget's gallery openings, I got brave and drew that first comc that started it all.
When I was younger, i wasn't good at ANYTHING, Gidget's willingness to continue after hardships helped me carry on, his art made me want to create, and art praise from people like you guys here gave me reason to trudge on and helped me lve through some of the hardest parts in my life.
Gidget was like my Kurt Cobain. When he died I had to stop and wonder " if he can't make it through, what hope have I got!?"
I never in my life got the chance to meet Gidget Gein, but he meant the world to me.
It's kind of funny looking at it, but the one thing I've never been able to to correctly is create a proper tribute to Gidget. I've tried a dozen times and I've actually lost sleep over it. The most painful part about this art block though is the comic.
I drew a comic the day Gidget died. It was set in the Spooky Kids days and the pun was Gidget fainting from drug use. It was just a joke, so totally innocent joke... The next day the news broke that he was dead. I tooke down the comic imeadiatly, but it's never stopped disapointing me. I will always hate myself for that stupid fucking joke!

It´s unbelievable he treat his former friends/fellows afterwards.
